About our Student Mission Trips...

Our mission trips have always been a place for students and leaders to experience God through serving the world around us. They provide powerful opportunities' for students to view the world through a different lens and to see that we can impact the world in ways we
never dreamed of by opening up to a God who is amazing, authentic, and incredible. The work that is done on the mission trips impact both individual students as well as the lives of people in the places we visit. Each year our four summer mission trips total about 200 participants,
and this year we hope even more students and leaders will join the mission trip experience. We need continual prayers and support. It's through members of Peace and the larger community that students are able to experience a summer that will change the way they see things. We invite you to be a part of something bigger by sharing support for the mission trips. The trips are more than a fun day in the amusement park; they carry a deeper message that gives students an opportunity to experience an authentic relationship with God.


Although the cost of mission trips increases some each year, the goal is to maintain a reasonable rate for our students and leaders. This is accomplished through fees that reflect the actual cost of activities on the free day and evenings, through shares that invite your extended network to purchase a $50 share as an investment in the life change that happens on a mission trip, and creative fundraising that the whole church and surrounding community can be a part of. Students can also reduce their cost through working fund raisers.

You will see the trip cost is the same this year as last year- but we are asking for an additional $50 gift card to Wal-Mart, Target, or a general AmEx, Visa or Master Card.


SIGN UP DEADLINE

Forms and money are due before the mission trip. If you are going on a June mission trip then your forms and money are due by June 1st. If you sign up for a July mission trip then your forms and money are due by July 1st. A $25 late fee will be assessed for late forms/money and/or your spot could be lost on the trip.

This year the maximum number per trip is 70 people.


Monthly Payments

Monthly payments can be made by dropping off a check made to Peace Lutheran Church with Mission Trips 2012 in the memo to the Student/Outreach Ministries Office, we will track your payments up till we leave for the trips.

$70 Fee + 2 Shares = $170

7th/8th Grade Trip to Pikeville, KY
$85 Fee +3 Shares +$50 Gift Card = $285

June High School Trip to Richmond, VA
$140 Fee +3 Shares +$50 Gift Card = $340

July High School Trip to Chicago, IL
$140 Fee +3 Shares +$50 Gift Card = $340

The Gift Card can be from Wal-Mart or Visa/MasterCard/American Express.



We raise money each year through various fundraisers to support our trips, this year is no different, we need your help.

All donations are tax deductible and are made out to Peace Lutheran Church. It is really important to have the address of those who give to the trips, so that we are able to send a post card of thanks from the work sites.

May 20 - Max & Erma's Fundraiser - Eat at Max & Erma's in Gahanna and 20% of your lunch, dinner and carryout sales will benefit the Mission Trips.
